Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk (if needed for consistency)

Directions:

  1. Beat cream cheese and butter together in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. If the frosting is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  5. Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies, or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
